About the book:

 25 year old Melissa and her family have inherited her grandmother's old English cottage in Silverado Canyon. After the 2007 fires, her grandmother passed away leaving them the house.There were many about the house that no one in Melissa's family(except her mother) knew about. Her family couldn't understand how the house escaped the fires. It was virtually untouched! Melissa was thrilled that her and her family inherited the house. They had lived in a two bedroom condo for many years. Melissa, her father and her step-mother Jenny enjoyed living in their grandmother's cottage.One day after Melissa came home from a family reunion party at the local park, she stepped out into the garden and discovers a secret door. It was hidden behind a vine bush in the garden. To her surprise she noticed that the lock was unhinged so she carefully opens the door. Suddenly from behind her a white rabbit races past her through the door! "A white rabbit! Where did it come from? I don't own any pets. Grandma never owned any pets." She said to herself. The story begins as Melissa boldly ventures into an alternate world where she discovers a race of elves living in a land called Agartha. She is taken in by seven elves and lives with them for protection from the evil sorceress, Myrna. Melissa discovers that she is the only one who can save the peaceful people of Agartha. She must confront Myrna with the truth of who she really is and where she came from. Melissa travels with her sidekick, Fey a carefree fairy, to find the key of Light to defend the land from Myrna. During her travels she discovers true love in the arms of Arowyn, an elf warrior. She discovers that Myrna and her have a deeper connection that is bond by blood.This book was written with a touch of humor. This story is fun & light. Contains no sexual content.

About the Author

I grew up in Orange County, California. I worked as a postal worker from 1986-1996. I’ve always wanted to write a book since I was 15. My second book is called, 'In the Company of Elves.' I started writing it in 2003. In the Company of Elves was a joy to write. I took a few facts from various websites and blended in fantasy. My last book will be my memoirs. It will be published five to ten years from now. I am not a College graduate, a teacher or a scholar, but I've always known what I wanted to do in life and made an effort to accomplish it. Enjoy In the Company of Elves as I enjoyed writing it.
